Ken Nelson is an associate in the firm's Seattle office who guides clients through the spectrum of Washington land use and development matters. He advises on zoning, permitting, compliance with the Growth Management Act and State Environmental Policy Act, and litigation under the Land Use Petition Act. He has experience securing project approvals, advising on the restoration and preservation of historic sites and King County landmarks, and navigating land use regulations throughout the state. Ken also represents client interests in government and private projects requiring environmental impact statements and in shaping comprehensive plan updates.
Ken earned his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law where he received the Dean's Medal and served as the editor-in-chief of the Washington Law Review. During law school, he served on the Washington State Minority and Justice Commission and the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.
