Ben Obomanu is an associate in DWT's real property practice group, where he advises commercial lenders, developers, investors, nonprofit organizations, and property owners on commercial real estate and finance transactions. His practice includes acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, joint ventures, development matters, and a range of secured lending transactions, including construction, acquisition, development, permanent loan, refinancing, forbearance, and loan modification matters. He drafts and negotiates financing documents and guides transactions through structuring, due diligence, documentation, and closing.

Ben also advises owners and developers on condominium and subdivision projects, homeowners' associations, master-planned communities, governance matters, title review, and regulatory compliance. He works with healthcare organizations, affordable housing developers, and community land trusts on significant real estate transactions and community development initiatives. Additionally, he counsels emerging and middle-market companies on governance, commercial agreements, risk management, compliance, and strategic business matters.

Outside his legal practice, Ben serves as president of the Seattle chapter of the National Football League Players Association, working with former NFL players, union leadership, and community organizations on advocacy and outreach. Before becoming a lawyer, he played in the NFL and served as a union representative during collective bargaining negotiations. That background informs his disciplined, collaborative, and team-oriented approach to client service.
