Kerrin O'Connell works on franchise and distribution matters. Kerrin has more than 10 years of experience representing franchisors and other clients on franchise regulatory and transactional matters. Kerrin counsels franchisors on the development, expansion, and ongoing management of franchise programs. Kerrin has advised domestic and international franchisors in many industries, including restaurants and food service, hotels and hospitality, educational and childcare, and real estate brokerage companies.
Kerrin provides guidance to emerging and established franchisor clients on the legal and strategic aspects of growth through franchising. Kerrin assists clients with their contracts and franchise sales law compliance, including preparing franchise disclosure documents, franchise agreements, vendor agreements, and regulatory exemptions and registration filings. Kerrin also helps franchisors navigate day-to-day franchise system management issues, including renewals, defaults, terminations, transfers, supply, and relationship issues, and operational changes. Kerrin works with franchisors to proactively address the legal challenges that arise in franchise systems. She is dedicated to helping clients develop effective strategies to mitigate risks and focus on sustainable, long-term growth.
