Shannon E. O'Neil
Associate
Shannon's cross-sector experience allows her to make connections others won't and offer perspectives others can't. As a member of DWT's energy practice group, she draws on her prior experience with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to help clients navigate and maintain compliance with complex federal energy regulations and look ahead to what's coming next.
As an attorney in FERC's Office of General Counsel, Shannon led multidisciplinary teams to address pressing issues arising under a variety of federal statutes, authored FERC orders on natural gas and hydropower applications, and represented the Office of General Counsel in matters before the Commission and meetings with regulated entities. Since entering private practice, she has leveraged her FERC experience to assist clients in the electric utility, natural gas, and hydropower industries as they amp up the energy transition’s opportunities and power through its challenges.
