Marina Sansom
Associate
Marina Sansom is a member of the firm's Communications practice. She advises communications industry clients on a wide range of regulatory, transactional, operational, and policy issues, with an emphasis on broadband infrastructure deployment, infrastructure funding, and state/local authorizations. She is particularly experienced in drafting, negotiating, and implementing franchise and license agreements that are central to the deployment of communications infrastructure across the country.
Marina takes a 360 approach in advising clients on rights-of-way and utility pole access, drawing on her years of experience serving as government relations counsel at a leading broadband infrastructure provider. She also filled a public policy role, advocating for telecommunications priorities before the FCC and Congress—Marina's efforts helped lead to changes in the FCC's Broadband Labels program, making compliance easier for providers.
Before becoming a lawyer, Marina focused on public-sector analysis, utility relations, and overall telecom services sales strategies.
