Robert Schaefer specializes in commercial litigation. He has represented a diverse clientele over more than two decades of private practice, including property owners, contractors, manufacturers, and suppliers.
With an extensive legal background that includes serving as national counsel for two prominent clients, Robert's experience spans industries and expertise. He has litigated matters involving product liability, real property claims, construction accidents, labor law actions, negligence, design defects, and general contractual claims, as well as mass torts involving chemical products and toxic exposure. He has defended clients in New York and New Jersey state courts, ensuring a robust litigation strategy for clients by skillfully drafting pre- and post-trial motions, preparing for lead and cross-examination of witnesses, and providing the full range of litigation services to clients and trial teams.
Robert works on litigation matters for the firm's largest institutional clients, collaborating with attorneys in DWT's New York office and elsewhere. He is well versed in New York and New Jersey civil law and boasts a long track record of securing favorable results for clients.
