Moe Tangman practices primarily in the food & beverage and technology spaces where he strives to find his clients business-oriented solutions to resolve their corporate and complex commercial disputes. As one of a handful of Delaware licensed lawyers in Portland, Moe is in a unique position to litigate his clients' corporate governance, transactions, business tort, and contract disputes. Moe also maintains a robust class-action defense practice, with an emphasis in the data privacy and cybersecurity space.

Corporate & fiduciary litigation

Moe has substantial experience litigating cases under the Delaware General Corporation Law, and has litigated numerous high-profile corporate disputes including M&A litigation for Fortune 500 companies, stockholder derivative actions, busted-deal litigation, statutory summary proceedings, and internal investigations for special litigation committees.

Food & beverage litigation

Moe litigates cases on behalf of food & beverage clients in the Pacific Northwest, as well as across the country, in matters pertaining to shareholder disputes, asset purchase agreements, breach of contract disputes, and claims arising under federal and state statutes.

Commercial litigation

Moe has litigated and resolved numerous commercial contract, tort, and fraud cases, including class-action cases, ranging from those involving closely-held companies to large-scale cases worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Various seller accounts v. online retailer (American Arbitration Association)

As lead counsel, successfully defended online retailer in dozens of arbitrations and at numerous final evidentiary hearings. (2023-present)

Coffee company v. coffee brand (Multnomah County Circuit Court)

As lead counsel, represented coffee company in dispute arising from asset purchase of coffee brand. (2025)

Media company v. online marketing company (Multnomah County Circuit Court)

As lead counsel, successfully secured dismissal of lawsuit against online marketing company after media company abandoned lawsuit following successive and successful dispositive motions on subject matter jurisdiction grounds. (2025)

Consumer v. cloud based enterprise (American Arbitration Association)

Successfully defended on the merits an arbitration brought by a consumer who had cryptocurrency stolen by hackers. (2025)

Baking company v. sellers (Delaware Chancery Court)

As lead counsel, represented sellers of baking enterprise in dispute arising from a merger agreement. (2024)
