Alix Town dedicates her practice to advising stakeholders across the construction sector, focusing on federal procurement and government contract matters. She represents owners, developers, general contractors, and subcontractors around the country—focusing on California and the Northwest—and handles their most important federal, state, and local contracts. She also supports clients on related litigation, including contract claims and government investigations.

Alix helps clients navigate complex contract and procurement issues related to state transportation construction projects, including bridges and light rail; tunneling and microtunneling projects; contract matters involving fabricators, paving contractors, manufacturers, and other specialized work; and construction projects for the Army Corps and Navy as well as military service and vendor agreements, such as Base Operating Services contracts. She also has experience negotiating and resolving disputes on biogas projects (both general and subcontractor). She is especially concentrated on the Portland construction market, having developed an extensive professional network through the Oregon State Bar and the Pacific Northwest Defense Coalition.

Before joining DWT, Alix served as senior corporate counsel for a national commercial construction company. She previously spent over a decade representing clients on contract, land use, and corporate matters, including advising on litigation teams that handled disputes before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Court of Federal Claims, the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals (ASBCA), the Civilian Board of Contract Appeals, and the Government Accountability Office (GAO). She also has participated in trial teams for construction cases before the American Arbitration Association, the International Chamber of Commerce, and federal, state, and county courts in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and elsewhere. Before becoming a lawyer, Alix interned in the U.S. Air Force General Counsel's Office's Contractor Responsibility and Acquisition Divisions.
