Nick Valera's litigation practice focuses on complex commercial matters before state and federal trial and appellate courts, as well as arbitrations. His broad litigation experience and practice includes class actions, administrative actions, regulatory enforcement, corporate governance, securities, real estate, trade secrets, and intellectual property. His litigation practice is informed by his time clerking for the Honorable Jamal N. Whitehead in the Western District of Washington.

Nick is an active member of the Western District of Washington's pro bono panel, serving as appointed counsel. He also serves as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General's Corps, counseling and advising soldiers and commanders as a judge advocate. Prior to law school, he served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Cameroon.

Software/IP litigation

Represented software company in lawsuit for contract for sale of intellectual property and software development. Freecast, Inc. v. 3 Screen Sols. GMBH, No. 6:22-cv-00729-PGB (M.D. Fla. Apr. 25, 2022)

E-commerce litigation

Represented e-commerce company in multiple arbitrations against domestic and international e-sellers alleging breach of contract and equity claims.

E-commerce litigation

Represented e-commerce company in consumer protection actions in Washington state court against bad actor sellers.

Discrimination litigation

Represented agricultural producer in a lawsuit brought by the Washington Attorney General for discrimination.
