Kate Vaughn is a patent scientist with a background in software engineering and military systems engineering. Her broad technical and legal knowledge, paired with rigorous training and hands-on engineering and IT experience, aids clients in securing patents, protecting their property, and fostering further technological innovation. Kate has experience using robotics algorithms to develop Simulink models for vehicle software and has technical expertise in various fields, including mechanical engineering and nuclear reactor operations. Before joining DWT, Kate worked for Doosan Bobcat and General Dynamics. She also served as a federal district court extern in North Dakota and spent two years as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy, where she led a team of 18 nuclear-trained sailors.
