Washington Employment Law Mid-Year Update

Angela Vogel works closely with employers to successfully navigate all aspects of the employment relationship. Angela counsels employers on complex accommodation, leave and sick time laws, including the Washington Paid Family Medical leave law and the Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act. She conducts and oversees investigations and also provides training on various topics to managers and employees. Angela regularly develops and drafts policies and executive agreements, and assists with employment issues that arise in connection with corporate transactions, including strategic workforce planning.

Practice Highlights

Counseling for multistate employers

Provides practical advice to employers with multistate operations on day-to-day employment and policy issues.

Investigations

Frequently leads and advises on complex workplace investigations involving allegations of discrimination and harassment and works closely with employers to develop successful plans of action.

Developing leave and accommodation issues

Assists employers with federal and state leave and accommodation laws, including the Washington Paid Family Medical Leave law and the Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act and develops strategy related to broader policy implications for clients nationwide.
