Tasher Willet is a member of the firm's patent group, where she works on patent filing and prosecution with a focus on software-based technologies. Tasher researches existing patents to ensure maximum protection for clients and their inventions. She handles diverse intellectual property matters for DWT in fields including software applications, artificial intelligence, and autonomous vehicles.
Tasher takes a broad view of clients' IP portfolios and works to integrate patents into overall business strategies. She monitors changes to state and federal laws that govern emerging industries and brings hands-on engineering and design experience to DWT. Before practicing law, Tasher enjoyed a diverse career in auto racing, serving as a race engineer for Honda Performance Development, Inc., where she provided data mining/analysis and engine computer calibration support to race teams including Andretti Autosport, Chip Ganassi Racing, Meyer Shank Racing, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, and Dale Coyne Racing.
