Andréa Wooding works on DWT's litigation team, focusing on regulatory and compliance guidance, risk management, and arbitration. A subject matter expert on customer marketplace abuse and fraud, Andréa has defended leading companies from legal claims while overseeing high-impact investigations, regulatory reports, breach notifications, and policy and process overhauls to resolve issues before they reach litigation. In arbitration settings, Andréa is a key partner, having prepared clients and witnesses for hearings and managed a wide range of disputes.
Andréa has extensive experience in the private sector (including as an arbitrator for FINRA, the financial industry self-regulator) and spent a decade in higher education and healthcare compliance. She is well versed in state, federal, and international data privacy and security frameworks and industry-specific rules, including the HIPAA Privacy Rule, FERPA, GLBA, GDPR, and a range of ISO security standards. She has served in senior incident management roles, counseling executive leadership on operations and preparing incident investigation guidance and internal legal guides for clients.
She is also skilled in transactional work and contract management, advising on various agreements, risk analysis, costs versus benefits, vendor relationships, and impact to business processes and long-term goals. Previous clients include e-commerce corporations, real property owners, academic medical centers and health tech startups.
