On Mar. 15, 2011, 175 C-level restaurateurs gathered at The Nines Hotel in Portland, Ore. to listen to insights from industry professionals. The group was headlined by John Besh, a renowned chef from New Orleans and owner of The Besh Restaurant Group, and his colleague, COO/CFO Octavio Mantilla. Other speakers included John Plew, CEO and president of Concept Entertainment Group; Nate Opper and Zak Melang from Matador Restaurants; Michael Dellar, CEO of Lark Creek Restaurant Group; Kurt Huffman, owner of ChefStable, LLC; Bill Freeman, CEO of McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants; and Ethan Stowell, chef and owner of Ethan Stowell Restaurants.
After the program, guests gathered in The Nines beautiful reception space to snack on unique hors d’oeuvres, including a dim sum station, crispy pork belly, citrus cured hamachi, and more.
