MARCH 4, 2013 – Three partners from Davis Wright Tremaine LLP have been named winners of the 2013 Client Choice awards by International Law Office and Lexology.
The awards are based on surveys of senior corporate counsel and recognize lawyers around the world that stand apart for their excellent client service. The winners were chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments.
The winners at DWT are:
- Richard M. Glick, Environment, Portland, Ore.
- Constance M. Pendleton, Media & Entertainment law, Washington, D.C.
- T. Scott Thompson, Telecommunications, Washington, D.C.
In addition, DWT’s Anchorage office was named the Client Choice law firm winner for the state of Alaska. Each state has only one winner.
Glick focuses his practice on environmental, water and energy law, representing businesses and local governments in a wide range of environmental matters. He counsels clients on regulatory compliance, permitting for major infrastructure projects, water rights, water quality permitting and certifications, wetlands, endangered species and environmental impact review; assists in assessing and managing environmental risk associated with business or real estate transactions; and represents clients before the state and federal agencies in Superfund, environmental cleanup, permitting and enforcement actions.
Pendleton, co-chair of the firm’s media law practice, represents clients in the area of media law, from prepublication and prebroadcast counseling through trial. She represents cable networks, television and radio broadcasters, book, magazine, newspaper, and online publishers, book sellers, journalists and authors in defamation, privacy, and newsgathering claims, reporter’s privilege, copyright, theft of ideas, and other First Amendment matters. She also provides advice on advertising, marketing, contests and sweepstakes and other promotions.
Thompson lobbies, negotiates, and litigates on behalf of telecommunications industry clients before the FCC, state public service commissions, local governments, and the courts. He has successfully litigated numerous cases to protect the rights of communications providers to deploy their networks and facilities. He works with leading communications companies to develop national deployment and regulatory strategies. He is experienced in a variety of matters, from commercial and regulatory disputes to access issues to policy, regulatory and competition matters.
