OCTOBER 16, 2019 – The head of Davis Wright Tremaine's Project W initiative, which provides women entrepreneurs and business executives the tools, connections, and expertise they need to build great companies, has been recognized by Corporate Counsel magazine in the 2019 Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards.
Lynn Loacker, who is also the firm's New York partner-in-charge, was honored in the Collaborative Leadership award category for her work forging Project W alliances with diverse groups around the country, including Springboard Enterprises, Female Founders Alliance, the Vinetta Project, and Black Women Talk Tech, to support women's business success.
Through these alliances, Project W sponsors and organizes meetups, pitch sessions, and other events to help women entrepreneurs build their networks, access funding, and develop scalable and successful businesses. Project W's annual flagship program, the Women Entrepreneurs Boot Camp, has graduated more than 60 alumnae, many of whom have gone on to close Series A rounds and join startup accelerators. Next year, the New York-based boot camp will expand to Seattle.
In addition to its impact outside the firm, Project W provides opportunities and increased visibility for younger women partners and senior associates at Davis Wright Tremaine, many of whom help organize events, serve on expert panels, and further the project mission.

In a recent ranking of AmLaw 200 firms, The American Lawyer placed Davis Wright Tremaine among the top 10 firms nationwide for percentage of equity partners who are women.
