NOV. 20, 2019 – Davis Wright Tremaine's New York partner-in-charge, Lynn Loacker, has been named one of New York Business Journal's 2019 Women of Influence.
"Lynn has devoted her 35-year career in law to supporting innovators and their companies," the Business Journal wrote. In addition to her work as partner-in-charge, and her years of experience as a business and corporate transactions lawyer, Ms. Loacker is the founder and overseer of Project W, a firmwide initiative that seeks to provide women entrepreneurs the tools, connections, and expertise necessary to build successful businesses. Ms. Loacker also serves as Davis Wright's Tremaine's firmwide chair of diversity and inclusion.
The Business Journal noted that "Lynn's passion for promoting women extends to her cultural life" as well. She holds a quarterly salon, Women+Art, and commissions works by women composers. She's currently treasurer of the board of the Santa Fe Opera.
Ms. Loacker's success in elevating women in the business world through Project W has been widely recognized. Her many recent honors include being named a 2019 "Trailblazer" by the New York Law Journal, a 2019 "Notable Woman in Law" by Crain's New York Business, and an honoree in Corporate Counsel magazine's 2019 "Women, Influence & Power in Law" Awards, where she was recognized for Collaborative Leadership.
