JULY 8, 2021 – Peter Finch, a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine who is known nationally for his expertise in labor negotiations, has been named to the National Law Journal's 2021 list of Employment Trailblazers.
Finch, based in Seattle, was recognized for his leadership in helping clients effectively manage virtual collective bargaining during the recent pandemic.
Since March 2020, Finch has bargained for nine contracts in a wide variety of industries. He is known as a thought leader on the issue of remote bargaining and has been frequently consulted regarding the National Labor Relations Board's position on what constitutes acceptable face-to-face collective bargaining in the midst of COVID-19.

Finch has practiced traditional labor law for more than two decades, including almost 15 years with the NLRB. He leverages his "inside" knowledge and ongoing relationships with board agents around the country to guide his clients through the sometimes arcane and confusing world of federal labor law. In addition to serving as the chief negotiator and strategist in collective bargaining for employers, he arbitrates grievances, investigates and defends clients against administrative charges, and serves as the lead advocate in trials. He also helps clients achieve resolution of any labor issues necessary to complete important strategic transactions.
