JUNE 23, 2023 – The Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) has awarded Davis Wright Tremaine LLP its highest recognition, Gold Standard Certification, for the firm's success in elevating women to leadership.
This is the 13th straight year that the firm has earned this recognition, which is granted to major law firms that meet a set of objective benchmarks for women's advancement.
"Achieving gender parity in the legal profession requires a commitment to significant ongoing work, and we remain committed to that effort," said Jaime Drozd, a Davis Wright partner in Seattle who is co-chair of the litigation practice and vice-chair of the firm's executive committee, as well as co-chair of the firm's women lawyers affinity group. "I'm proud of our longstanding recognition from WILEF and grateful for their work to shine a spotlight on the need to create and maintain an inclusive culture."
Women have risen to leadership positions across all sectors of Davis Wright. Women comprise more than a third of all equity partners and 42% of the firm's executive committee. Within the firm's practice groups, women hold fully half the chair and/or co-chair positions.
Davis Wright is nationally recognized for its steadfast commitment to DEI, with a DEI framework built on four pillars: Community, Growth, Education, and Engagement. The firm's recent honors from clients include the T-Mobile 2023 Excellence in Diversity Award, the 2022 Citi Law Firm Diversity Champion Award, and the 2021 U.S. Bank Invested in Diversity Award.
