DECEMBER 11, 2024 – Jenna Mooney, a preeminent attorney in the employment practice of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, has been appointed firmwide Executive Operations Partner, a new position at the firm.

Mooney has spent her entire legal career at DWT, during which time she's been widely recognized for market-leading excellence. Thomson Reuters named her one of Oregon's Top 50 lawyers each of the past four years, Best Lawyers named her a Portland "Lawyer of the Year" in 2021, and the Portland Business Journal selected her as a 2019 "Woman of Influence." Mooney's many leadership positions at DWT have included serving on the compensation committee, the attorney evaluation committee, and the succession planning taskforce. She was most recently co-chair of DWT's national labor and employment team, one of the largest such practice groups in the country.

The appointment of an executive operations partner follows a decade in which DWT has more than doubled its revenues and profits per partner, developed increasingly sophisticated tools for client service, and been regularly honored as one of the legal profession's most innovative firms, of any size. The firm has become an established national leader serving clients in the energy, entertainment/media, financial services/fintech, food + beverage, healthcare, and technology industries.
Mooney joins a senior leadership team entirely comprised of attorneys who are Mansfield diverse: In addition to Drozd, the firm's executive committee is chaired by Camilo Echavarria and co-chaired by Chris Ford. The firm's five-member C-suite is also entirely Mansfield diverse.

In her new role, Mooney will focus on core operational responsibilities, such as lawyer compensation and career growth and development, day-to-day financial management, and lateral recruiting and integration. She will also help support DWT's focus on its key investment areas, which include: tech-focused litigation; financial services litigation; ESG; and corporate and real estate transactional capabilities for food + beverage, entertainment, and healthcare in California.

Mooney is a Fellow of both the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and Litigation Counsel of America. Her volunteer work includes longtime service on the board of Friends of the Children Portland. She is a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law and UCLA.
