MarcheseLisa_lowThis week, Law360 profiles our very own Lisa Marchese, a partner in our Government Contracts Counseling and Litigation Group. Lisa joined Davis Wright Tremaine in January, 2015, having spent the previous seven years as the Trial Department Head for the Seattle and Anchorage offices of Dorsey & Whitney. Since earning her J.D. from Georgetown in 1987, Lisa has been a mainstay of the Seattle legal community, spending a decade as a Deputy and Senior Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the King County Prosecutor’s Office, and earning recognition from a wide variety of professional organizations. She is admitted to practice in state courts in Washington, Alaska, and Oregon, as well as numerous Federal Courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

As a partner in our Government Contracts group, Lisa helps lead our efforts across the full range of legal services needed by companies involved in state, local, and federal government work.

This includes everything from guiding clients through the complex regulatory structures that control government contracting processes, to highly sensitive internal investigations, to multi-million dollar contract disputes and litigation. Also, like many of our attorneys, Lisa has a wealth of niche experience representing Alaska Native Corporations in their dealings with the federal government. In the Law360 interview, Lisa focuses on her experience as a trial lawyer, talking about her most interesting, emotional, and amusing experiences in court. She also gives plain-spoken advice about preparing for trials, and talks about the legal giant who has inspired her career the most. Our thanks go out to Law360 for allowing Lisa to share her invaluable experiences and insights. To read Law360's profile on Lisa, click here.
