December 15 is now set as the deadline by which nearly all cable operators, telecommunications carriers, and many others must respond to an extensive FCC special access data collection, per an Order on Reconsideration released yesterday.  The order also amended the data collection to adopt the modifications required by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), as detailed in our recent advisory.  While further instructions from the FCC are forthcoming, because of the vast scope of the request, entities subject to the data collection should be working now to collect the data necessary to try to meet the deadline.  For a copy of the FCC’s data request, see Appendix A of the Order on Reconsideration.

Davis Wright Tremaine LLP attorneys are advising clients on preparation of responses and would be pleased to assist or provide guidance to entities that are responding to this data collection effort.
