By Rachel R. Marmor
10.25.18
The California Consumer Privacy Act is making headlines as the first comprehensive regulation of consumer data in the United States. Though the law (following recent amendments) exempts entities covered by HIPAA, numerous businesses that sit, either actively or passively, in the flow of health information will nonetheless find themselves subject to the law. This presentation from DWT Counsel Rachel Marmor walked attendees through the key requirements of the CCPA and the potential operational impact for businesses in the health care ecosystem.
