Jacob Axelrad is an employment litigator who provides comprehensive legal services to clients navigating complex workplace disputes. He is experienced in single-plaintiff employment litigation, handling all pretrial phases, including fact investigation, discovery, and depositions, and has secured case dismissals and other outcomes favorable to clients. Jacob also supports wage-and-hour class actions and PAGA matters, conducting liability assessments, drafting mediation briefs, and investigating worksites. He also advises clients on compliance matters, such as updating employee handbooks.
During law school, Jacob externed for the chief judge serving on the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, where he drafted wage-and-hour orders and remand rulings for lack of diversity jurisdiction. He has a passion for teaching, having been a part of Teach for America in Los Angeles, an English literature lecturer at the University of Michigan, and an English instructor in Shanghai and Malaysia.
