Jacob Benford is an attorney in DWT's patent group, drawing on experience with computer science and game development to support clients with their most important IP matters.
Before pursuing his J.D., Jacob was a senior software engineer working on mobile games. He has applied this computer science background in claim construction, prior art review, and patent litigation as well as in copyright risk-mitigation recommendations for software developers and artists.
Jacob received his degree from Stanford, where he was highly active in groups focused on IP issues and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
