Alli applies her lifelong interest in quality, responsible food to help clients protect and grow their “good for you” food and beverage brands. She uses her passion and diverse experience to help evaluate opportunities, proactively assess risks, and guide clients as they respond to legal actions. From working the fields on an organic farm to a fellowship at Harvard Law School’s Food Law and Policy Clinic, her roots run deep.
Alli has represented food, beverage and pet food companies, distributors, retailers, farms and restaurants. She advises on a broad range of topics such as label claims (e.g., “natural,” “organic,” and other health-related claims); Prop 65; hemp-derived CBD; food and alcohol delivery; plant-based foods and alternative proteins; standards of identity; food safety; and menu labeling. The meat of her practice includes evaluating food labels to ensure compliance with federal regulations and assessing litigation risks, and responding to private litigation and government enforcement actions. She also counsels clients on local, state and federal food safety regulations and navigates product recalls and interactions with government agencies.
Alli regularly authors articles and speaks at industry events, earning her national recognition for food law and policy thought leadership.

- Advise clients in understanding and complying with food safety regulations, including the Food Safety Modernization Act
- Counsel clients regarding food safety concerns and recalls
- Advise clients on regulatory issues involved in alternative food delivery models
- Draft food donation agreements and advise clients on liability surrounding food donation
Food Labeling and Claims
- Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local labeling laws and litigation risks for food and dietary supplements, including website content
- Assist clients in complying with menu labeling regulations
- Advise clients on compliance with federal genetically-engineered food labeling requirements
Alcohol Regulatory
- Advise clients on regulatory issues surrounding advertising and promotional activities in multiple states
- Assist clients who are not traditionally in the alcohol space determine how they can incorporate alcohol into events on their premises
