Tiffanie de la Riva focuses her practice on employment law, and she represents employers in a variety of industries. Tiffanie has experience defending against claims involving harassment, retaliation, discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage and hour issues. She is experienced in all phases of litigation, including engaging in discovery, conducting witness interviews, preparing substantive motions, and taking and defending depositions. Tiffanie has experience representing clients in state and federal court, as well as in front of administrative agencies.

Her practice also includes counseling employers on issues including employee discipline, terminations, and providing reasonable accommodations.

Practice Highlights

Single-plaintiff litigation

Defending employers in single-plaintiff actions against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, failure to accommodate/engage in the interactive process, and wage and hour issues. Working on all aspects of litigation, including fact investigation, discovery, taking and defending depositions, and preparing motions.

Wage and hour litigation

Representing employers in single-plaintiff and class actions that involve wage and hour claims. Claims addressed include meal and rest break compliance, compensation issues including overtime and unreimbursed business expenses, and other alleged violations of California's wage and hour laws.
