Chasity Hendren advises clients on regulatory and transactional matters involving energy development and procurement, environmental compliance, and permitting for utility-scale and portfolio energy projects. Her practice focuses on supporting independent power producers, investors, energy technology providers, utilities and electrical corporations, industrial energy consumers, shippers, and core transport agents in project development, operations, and acquisitions.

She is well positioned to assist clients in the state with project strategy, regulatory filings and audits, discovery, testimony, advice letters, compliance filings, and related regulatory matters. Her experience extends to various agencies, including Public Utilities Commissions, the California Energy Commission, the California Air Resources Board, and the U.S. Department of Energy, showcasing her understanding of interlocking regulatory dynamics that govern energy development and operations. Her expertise spans a wide range of energy-related topics, including resource planning, utility applications, demand response, and cap-and-trade compliance.

In addition to regulatory matters, Chasity supports project development and transactions in the renewable energy sector. She assists with the local and regulatory aspects of project finance and tax equity transactions and works with multidisciplinary teams to help clients navigate complex permitting, environmental, and operational requirements.

Before joining DWT, Chasity worked in an energy infrastructure corporation's in-house legal department. Prior to entering the legal profession, she built an extensive career in hospitality and retail management, where she developed her client-focused approach, operational leadership, and project coordination skills that inform her collaborative, solutions-oriented approach to working with clients and project teams.
