Practice Highlights

Protecting software intellectual property rights

Helped the creator of popular search and analytics software protect its intellectual property rights by obtaining a favorable settlement in a lawsuit for false advertising and trademark infringement, representing the company in asserting claims for infringement and contributory infringement of its software copyrights, and helping the company get removed from various online locations content that infringed the company's copyrights and trademarks.

Technology litigation and counseling

Represented a major technology company in numerous matters, including moving to dismiss a putative class action lawsuit related to an alleged defect in the screen of a popular consumer electronics product, counseling related to protection of the company's trade secrets, and the company's motion to quash a subpoena in the criminal prosecution of a former employee accused of trade secret theft.

Pharmaceutical litigation

Worked on a team representing a large pharmaceutical company in what The New York Times called "one of the most complicated and gargantuan legal battles in American history," involving more than 3,000 lawsuits by state and local governments related to the sale and marketing of prescription medications.
