Tyler Maffia concentrates his practice on advising employers on labor and employment issues. He regularly counsels employers on federal, state, and local laws related to workforce reductions, terminations, alternative schedules, wage and hour issues, the impacts of COVID-19 regulations in the workplace, and mergers and acquisitions.

Tyler brings unique experience and knowledge regarding labor representation matters and unfair labor practices, having served as an attorney with the National Labor Relations Board before joining the firm. He helps employers with unionized workforces to develop long-term strategic plans and to respond to day-to-day labor law issues. Tyler regularly represents businesses in labor negotiations and serves as an advisor for businesses that prefer to negotiate directly with unions. He also represents employers facing labor elections, NLRB or ALRB unfair labor practice charges, and grievance arbitrations.
