Brad Miller helps leading entertainment companies bring their creative visions to life by negotiating major business transactions and providing strategic counsel on legal and business risks. With over 25 years of experience, Brad has served as both in-house and outside counsel to many of the top names in the entertainment industry. Prior to joining DWT, he was Associate General Counsel and Head of Global Production Legal at Amazon Studios. In 2024, Variety recognized Brad in both its Legal Impact Report and Dealmakers Report, which highlight the industry's most influential entertainment attorneys.

Brad's practice spans the full landscape of the entertainment business. His experience covers a wide range of roles—from business affairs negotiations to legal risk mitigation—across content types including feature films, scripted and unscripted television, generative AI, and marketing assets. He advises clients throughout the distribution chain, including independent production companies, studios, networks, and streaming platforms. His work encompasses all facets of legal practice, including contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, content review, prelitigation counseling, and litigation. He also brings deep expertise in intellectual property law, including copyright, trademark, privacy, and defamation.

Brad has overseen the production legal affairs of hundreds of scripted and unscripted television programs and films across dozens of platforms in the U.S., the EU, India, Japan, and Latin America. As the founding partner of a boutique entertainment law firm, he helped scale operations for clients such as Comcast Entertainment Group, MTV Networks, The Walt Disney Company, and AMC Networks—where he played a key role in launching The Walking Dead franchise and building out AMC Studios.

Brad's background includes in-house legal roles at major production and entertainment companies such as High Noon Entertainment, ABC Cable Networks Group, and Warner Bros. Television. This experience informs his pragmatic, business-forward approach to client service. He advises on production, co-production, distribution, and talent agreements, as well as compliance with advertising and sponsorship laws, copyright chain of title, employment matters, safety protocols, immigration issues, and the legal implications of generative AI. He also provides pre-publication review for media clients and has litigated matters involving defamation, invasion of privacy, copyright, and trademark.
