Shab Puri is a leading energy law attorney with over 20 years of experience in the development and financing of renewable and conventional energy projects throughout the United States, with a primary focus on solar, battery storage (stand-alone and collocated), biomass, hydrogen, hydropower and wind projects.
Shab drives the firm's engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) practice, advising project developers, project owners, contractors, subcontractors, integrators, equipment suppliers, service providers, investors, financing parties, and others through all stages of project development and operation. He has deep experience with EPC agreements, integration agreements, equipment supply agreements (including project specific, master and framework agreements) operation and maintenance (O&M) agreements, long-term service agreements (LTSA), engineering and professional service agreements and other contracts.
He also advises on power purchase agreements, project -related real estate, the purchase and sale of project entities and assets and supports technology leaders, including DWT institutional clients, on their most important energy and infrastructure projects. Shab's expertise is instrumental to powering the firm's growing data center development capabilities.
Shab previously founded a Bay Area boutique law firm focused on clean energy and served as in-house counsel for the U.S. affiliate of a German solar developer and for the world's largest photovoltaic panel manufacturer.
