The Business Law Fall Meeting is the ultimate gathering of business law professionals from around the world. Featuring over 50 CLE programs and hundreds of substantive discussions, it covers the latest business law trends and developments.

On September 4, Partner Bradford Hardin will join the panel "Navigating Payments Compliance: MTL/MSB Frameworks, Nacha and Network Rules, and Bank-Fintech Regulatory Strategies." This panel equips financial services lawyers, including those new to the payments space, to navigate the regulatory landscape governing money movement. Topics include bank–fintech relationships, money transmitter licensing and money services business obligations, and compliance with Nacha and card network rules. Attendees will learn when activities trigger state licensing, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) registration, or heightened sponsor-bank scrutiny, and how anti-money laundering/Bank Secrecy Act and consumer protection requirements apply in embedded finance models. Panelists will share strategies for allocating compliance responsibilities between banks and their fintech partners and building scalable, compliant programs.
