JUNE 7, 2021 – In recognition of the firm's high numbers of women in leadership positions, family-friendly policies, and success in retaining and promoting women lawyers, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP has been named one of the country's Best Law Firms for Women by Working Mother magazine. This is the firm's eighth consecutive year on the list.

The success of Davis Wright Tremaine's women lawyers is notable, even by the standards of the firms on the list. The magazine reported that women make up, on average, 25% of equity partners at these 50 top firms. At Davis Wright Tremaine, women make up 29% of equity partners.

Women also chair and/or co-chair many of the leading practice areas at Davis Wright Tremaine and a woman partner chairs the executive committee, the firm's top decision-making body.

The firm's commitment to advancing women extends beyond the walls of the firm and includes Project W, a multifaceted initiative to help professional women further their careers, achieve parity in the workplace, and improve their lives. Two of Project W's current programs include a seven-week Emerging Food Brands Lab and a Tech Equity Hub for Black and Latinx female founders.

The 2021 Best Law Firms for Women application comprised more than 300 questions about attorney demographics at different levels, schedule flexibility, paid time off and parental leaves, and development and retention of women. This year, in light of COVID-19, several questions were added about the success of working from home for lawyers.
