The Willamette Valley Project is a 13-dam complex operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in western Oregon. The primary authorization for the project is flood control, fish flows, and irrigation.

But it has also been the subject of controversy, resulting in litigation in federal court and legislation recently passed by Congress and the Oregon Legislative Assembly. That activity notwithstanding, there is a lot more coming.
