DWT’s AI, Big Data and Cloud Conference will be held at our Seattle office on Tuesday, June 25, 2019.

Please mark your calendar for our annual exploration of cutting-edge legal, business, and technology issues in Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and the Cloud. New content for 2019 includes ethical issues in artificial intelligence and new state privacy statutes and pending legislation. We’ll revisit the continued tension between national security and privacy; review new state privacy; explore blockchain after the hype; and, in this year’s practicum, examine sophisticated solutions to challenging contract issues involving AI and Big Data on the cloud and across industries.

Helen Foster will lead “California Consumer Privacy Act an Federal and Washington Legislative Update”: In the wake of GDPR, states such as CA and WA have passed or considered their own privacy statutes. We will discuss those as well as the potential for federal legislation.
