This interactive workshop covered Washington’s new Paid Family and Medical Leave Program. With employer obligations beginning in January 2019, DWT attorneys have been fielding a lot of client questions about the complexities of the new program. We gave a brief overview of the program, then turned to a moderated session. We covered key issues, including:

  • What are you doing to prepare?
  • What questions do you still have about compliance with the new law?
  • How does the new law intersect with benefits and leave laws?
  • What are the rules if you already have a voluntary plan?
