"Corporate Climate Disclosures - California and Beyond," Davis Wright Tremaine ESG Initiative and Climate Network Webinar

DWT's ESG Initiative and Climate Network hosted a webinar where Vid Prabhakaran, Craig Gannett, Walker Stanovsky, and Alli Condra reviewed new California statutes that require companies to report their greenhouse gases emissions, climate-related financial risks, and more. This is particularly important if you have a client that has annual revenue over $500 million and that does business in California, or that publicizes any climate-related claims or goals.

We also explained how the new California requirements relate to upcoming climate disclosure regulations from SEC, new rules adopted by the European Union, ongoing development of the voluntary standards that make up the core of the new government-mandated disclosures, and how the required disclosures interact with advertising and consumer protection law.
