Travis J. Distaso

Travis is co-chair of Davis Wright's M&A group and a San Francisco-based partner representing private equity and growth equity sponsors on platform acquisitions, growth equity investments, add-on acquisitions, minority investments, and joint ventures, primarily in consumer, franchise, technology and software, food and beverage, and energy transition.

He is recognized by Legal 500 as a Tier One "City Elite" lawyer for Corporate and M&A in San Francisco. He currently serves as the chair of the hiring committee of the San Francisco office.

Before joining the firm, he was a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis in the M&A group and a Counsel at Gunderson Dettmer in the growth equity group in San Francisco. He began his career in investment banking and sales & trading at Bank of America and Citi.

Travis has closed more than 50 transactions for sponsor and sponsor-backed clients including Dragoneer, Franchise Equity Partners, Gryphon Investors, Limerston Capital, the Octopus Energy and Sky Renewables funds, Olympus Partners, Peak Rock Capital, Pritzker Private Capital, Solamere Capital, Tiger Global, Vector Capital, and Westward Partners.
