Farrah Vazquez counsels and litigates on behalf of media and entertainment clients who produce and distribute some of the best content out there. In her litigation practice, Farrah defends complex copyright, trademark, right-of-publicity, and privacy-related disputes. In her counseling practice, she advises creators and distributors on how to minimize risk for their projects.

Farrah regularly advises on issues relating to generative AI in content production, including with respect to copyright, defamation, and AI legislation.

Farrah also maintains a pro bono practice, representing clients in intellectual property disputes or advising on First Amendment rights in connection with important social issues.

Brophy v. Almanzar, et al.

Represented rapper Cardi B and her former record label at trial, securing a full defense verdict against right-of-publicity and false light claims involving album cover artwork. (C.D. Cal. 2022)

Precise Graphix v. Machete Corporation, et al.

Represented production company Machete Corporation in arbitration involving the reality television series, "The Profit," successfully defending against fraud and breach-of-contract claims. (Arbitration 2023)

Gordy v. Universal Studios, et al.

Defending Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Amazon.com Services LLC, and director Timothy Bogart against defamation and false light claims brought by music executive Berry Gordy, in connection with the feature film "Spinning Gold." (Ongoing)

PetSmart, Inc. v. PETA, et al.

Representing People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and its employee whose undercover investigation resulted in three guilty pleas by PetSmart employees for animal cruelty. Pursuing a counterclaim for PetSmart's breach of its contractual obligations regarding care and treatment of sick and injured animals. (Fla. Cir. Ct. Ongoing)
