APRIL 21, 2025 – Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is pleased to welcome Kwan Park to its nationally recognized employment services team. Joining as a partner in San Francisco, Kwan adds further heft to DWT's market-leading employment class action group while advancing the firm's strategic growth in the Bay Area.

Kwan's practice focuses on finding solutions to and litigating complex labor and employment issues, including defending clients against putative class, collective, and representative wage-and-hour actions, including those under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). He has represented employers in key sectors, such as energy, financial services, healthcare, retail, supply chain, and technology, and litigated a wide range of wage-and-hour issues, including alleged exempt status or independent contractor misclassification, off-the-clock work, noncompliant meal and rest periods, unreimbursed business expenses, and waiting time penalties, among others.

Kwan also works both sides of the 'v' in trade secrets and employee mobility matters, including investigating and prosecuting claims of employee and customer raiding, unfair competition, and related claims, and defending against the same. He has, for example, successfully opposed preliminary injunction motions brought against his clients in such disputes.

Kwan comes to the firm from Morrison Foerster and reunites with his former Morrison Foerster colleagues, including Los Angeles partners Tritia Murata, Monica Rodriguez, and David Zins, who joined DWT's employment services team last year.

"We're delighted to reconnect Kwan with his former colleagues, who together comprise an extremely formidable team," said Laura Sack, co-chair of the DWT employment services group. "Kwan's arrival will further elevate our practice on a national level, help serve our strategic industry verticals, and position us to handle an ever-increasing workload of class action and other matters."

"Everything I've heard about DWT confirms that it's an outstanding platform for lawyers like myself who bring entrepreneurial instincts, who are keenly interested in growing their practices, and who thrive in a collaborative culture," said Kwan. "The employment team is made up of top-of-market practitioners and I'm thrilled to join them."

Kwan received his B.S. in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University and his J.D. from Stanford Law School, where he was senior editor of the Stanford Law Review. During law school, he served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Edward J. Davila in the Northern District of California. He has also interned at the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board.
