SEPT. 23, 2026 – Law360's Regional Powerhouse series, which honors leading law firms serving some of the industry's biggest markets, has named Davis Wright Tremaine LLP a 2026 Washington Powerhouse.
This marks the fourth time DWT has received the honor, making it the only firm to be recognized every single year since the Washington state category was launched.
DWT was founded in Seattle and maintains its largest office there, with more than 200 attorneys.
In a feature story published this week, Law360 reported that "Davis Wright has grown alongside its hometown and longtime clients into a national leader on the cutting edge of innovation." Over the past 12 months, Law360 said, DWT "continued to serve the tech sector as a go-to firm for some of the region's biggest corporate clients, navigating a wave of consumer class actions in evolving areas of law and representing companies in headline-grabbing deals."
The story specifically noted DWT's representation of Amazon in a $50 billion partnership with OpenAI and of T-Mobile in a joint venture to acquire major fiber internet provider Metronet, as well as the firm's successful advocacy for Amazon in several privacy class actions in Washington courts.
The firm is currently "defending dozens of clients facing class claims involving Washington's Commercial Electronic Mail Act, or CEMA," Law360 reported.
Lauren Rainwater, a Seattle litigator handling many of those CEMA claims, told Law360: "We are proud to be maintaining our leadership here and our deep client relationships in the Washington market."
The publication also noted the arrival of some key laterals to DWT's Seattle office in the past year, including Kevin Kramer, former in-house litigation counsel at Amazon, and the former acting U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Washington, Teal Luthy Miller.

Said Law360: "The goal isn't growth for growth's sake, Kearns emphasized, but honing the firm's capacity to help clients 'immediately' on key strategic issues."
