SEPT 13, 2021 – The New York labor and employment practice group at Davis Wright Tremaine, which recently earned the ranking of Highly Regarded/Band 1 from Chambers USA, has added another veteran practitioner to its ranks.
Lisa E. Dayan, who joined the firm as Of Counsel effective September 13, brings to the firm nearly three decades of experience advising clients on employment-related matters and representing employers in discrimination, wage and hour, and labor law cases before state and federal courts and government agencies.
Dayan's arrival reunites her with Davis Wright employment partners Laura Sack, Lyle Zuckerman, and Roy Salins, who worked with her for years at Kauff McGuire & Margolis (KM&M) before they joined Davis Wright together in 2015 to start the firm's East Coast Employment Services Group.

Dayan has spent her entire legal career as a management-side labor and employment attorney. In addition to counseling countless clients on evolving L&E issues and representing them before courts and government agencies, she has extensive trial advocacy experience. She has also spent time in-house in employers' legal departments.

Dayan earned her B.S. degree from Cornell University and her law degree from New York University School of Law. She began her legal career as an associate in the labor and employment law group at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett (where she and Sack first met as summer associates) and she practiced, most recently, for almost 20 years at KM&M.
