JULY 22, 2026 – The business and tax group at Davis Wright Tremaine, which provides market-leading expertise to clients conducting large-scale M&A in the franchise space, is pleased to announce that the firm represented Franchise Equity Partners in its recently announced acquisition of Bravo Fit, the Australian franchisee of Planet Fitness.
Bravo Fit currently operates 32 Planet Fitness clubs and holds exclusive area development rights for roughly 100 more. The acquisition marks FEP's first investment in an Australian-headquartered business and further diversifies the firm's international portfolio.
FEP is a private investment firm on a mission to create long-term partnerships with quality franchisees and franchisors. DWT has served as longtime M&A counsel for FEP and last year advised the firm on the acquisition of a majority stake in 7 Crew, the second-largest franchise owner of 7 Brew Drive-Thru Coffee.
The DWT team on the Bravo Fit deal included Zach Bench, Sarah Tune, Ronald Law, Brayden Koslowsky, and Zach Shindler, among others. FEP was also advised by Mallesons and PwC.
