NOV. 30, 2022 – The College of Labor & Employment Lawyers has named three Davis Wright Tremaine LLP partners in three different offices as Fellows.
Emilio Gonzalez (Los Angeles), Harry Korrell (Seattle), and Jenna Mooney (Portland) were formally installed this month in conjunction with the annual meeting of the American Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Section.
Election as a Fellow is reserved for attorneys who have made a sustained contribution to the practice and who meet the College's high standards of integrity, professionalism, and character.
Gonzalez has been practicing for more than two decades. His clients include major film and media companies, theme parks and resorts, international technology and software companies, banks and investment firms, hospitals, medical groups, telecommunication companies, and restaurants. He has been recognized twice by the Daily Journal as one of California's best labor and employment lawyers, and by The National Law Journal as a "Litigation Trailblazer."
Korrell has extensive experience in large-scale, high-profile cases, including challenges to state and local regulations that address employment and benefit issues. He is currently recognized as a leading practitioner by all three of the top lawyer-ranking organizations—Chambers, Best Lawyers, and Super Lawyers—and was named 2022 Lawyer of the Year in civil rights law (Seattle) by Best Lawyers and U.S. News. He served on the board of directors of the U.S. Legal Services Corporation for almost a decade and continued as a committee member through this year.
Mooney co-chairs the Employment Services Group at Davis Wright. She has won many accolades for her work helping clients get the best from employees, comply with the law, and mitigate risk, as well as her defense of employers in litigation. Best Lawyers and U.S. News named her 2021 Lawyer of the Year in employment & labor law (Portland) and Super Lawyers named her one of Oregon's top 50 lawyers and top 25 women lawyers. In 2019, she was named a "Woman of Influence" by the Portland Business Journal. She serves on the board of Friends of the Children-Portland.
