MAY 4, 2026 – On behalf of the firm's longtime client, T-Mobile, a team from Davis Wright Tremaine LLP has led the commercial negotiations associated with two additional joint venture investments that will strengthen T-Mobile's next-generation broadband portfolio and expand the company's fiber footprint to more than 1 million additional homes nationwide. At close, T-Mobile will invest approximately $2.7 billion for 50% equity interest in each JV and substantially all existing residential fiber customers.

T-Mobile and Oak Hill Capital, a private equity firm with deep digital infrastructure experience, have agreed to form a 50/50 joint venture to acquire and combine two of Oak Hill's existing fiber portfolio companies, GoNetspeed and Greenlight Networks.

In a separate transaction, T-Mobile will form a 50/50 JV with global infrastructure investor Wren House Infrastructure Management, Ltd. to acquire i3 Broadband, a high-quality fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) provider..

The DWT T-Mobile fiber team, which also assisted T-Mobile with its two prior fiber joint ventures, Lumos and Metronet, includes Paul Hudson, Doug Orvis, Victoria Randazzo, Evan Shapiro, Zach Allen, Bob Scott, Pete Johnson, Breck Wilmot, Soraya Mohammed, Alan Galloway, Mike Borgia, and KC Halm.
